A private, by-appointment dealership representing investment-grade and collector automobiles from the great marques of Europe and Japan — sourced, authenticated, and held to a standard the auction houses do not.

Our standing inventory rarely exceeds eight cars. Every vehicle has been authenticated, weighed against its market comparables, and physically inspected by a marque specialist. Provenance documented, paperwork in order, ready to ship anywhere on earth.
Chassis #5102 left Sant'Agata Bolognese in November 1972 — among the final sixteen P400 SVs produced before the Miura programme ended. Delivered new to a Swiss collector, the car has had three caretakers in fifty-four years, with every service interval, MOT, and tank of fuel documented in a binder we will hand to the next owner. The factory Polo Storico certification was completed in 2019. The paint is original Verde Miura. The leather has been re-stitched only once, by Lamborghini factory craftsmen, in 2008. Number-matching engine, gearbox, chassis. A serious car, for a serious caretaker.
We do not run a forecourt. We do not advertise inventory online. The work happens privately — and in five disciplines, depending on what the collector requires.
i.
Private sale brokerage of investment-grade collector automobiles. Buyer-side searches, valuations, and pre-purchase inspection coordinated globally.
ii.
Discreet representation of single cars or full collections, with controlled buyer outreach and no public listings. Average sale cycle 4–9 months.
iii.
Chassis, drivetrain, and history-file authentication. We work with Ferrari Classiche, Porsche Heritage, Lamborghini Polo Storico, and independent marque experts.
iv.
Climate-controlled long-term storage in our Yorkville vault. Quarterly drives, mechanical stewardship, photographic condition reports.
v.
Discreet, professional dispersal of inherited collections in coordination with estate attorneys and family offices. Confidentiality assured.
Our specialists have decades inside each of these marques — at the factory, at the dealer level, and at the auction houses. We rarely take on cars outside this group.

Acquiring a serious car is rarely a fast process. We move at the pace authenticity demands — never at the pace of an auction calendar.
MotorVault occupies a converted carriage house off Yorkville Avenue in central Toronto — twelve thousand square feet of climate-controlled storage, a private viewing floor, a small lounge, and three locked rooms for cars under offer. The address is not advertised. There is no signage at the door. Visits are by appointment only, in cycles of one client at a time.
If you visit, you'll find the floor quiet. Whiskey in a decanter. Coffee from a Slayer. A house Boxer dog named Magnus who will inspect your shoes. No salespeople. The principal who meets you handles your file from inquiry to garage delivery.
Each specialist has spent a career inside the marque they represent. Your inquiry is taken — and seen through — by a principal, never an associate.

A 1973 Carrera RS without its history file is worth a third of one with. We explain why provenance matters more than mileage — why a hand-written service log from 1981 is worth six figures — and what we look for when we audit a binder. The most important pages, in our experience, are the boring ones.

Market Commentary
Public auctions are theatre. The serious cars trade privately, between dealers and between collectors. Why we rarely bid.
